The Eliwell 32x74 format, which over the years has become the standard for electronic controllers in the commercial refrigeration, is evolving and generating a new family of compact electronic devices for compressor plant management.
EWCM 400 series includes three separate models, which differ among each other based on the outputs they use.
All the devices manage up to 4 simple compressors or 2 compressors with capacity steps, 2 temperature or pressure analogue inputs to control suction and condensation, and 7 digital inputs for managing compressor thermal switch, high and low pressure as well as generic machine stop alarms.
The presence of the alarm output on relay, of the analogue output for direct management of the condensation fans, or of the analogue output for managing an inverter depend on the device model. For a best maintenance, it is also possible to store in permanent memory the number of hours of operation of each compressor; the maximum reading resolution is in minutes.
All the devices can be programmed easily and quickly through the Copy Card
Connection to the Televis? supervisory system
All models are expected, furthermore, to communicate through the ModBUS-RTU standard protocol
By using the TTL serial port, all the devices can be programmed easily and quickly through the Copy Card.
The same serial port allows to connect EWCM 400 devices to the Televis? supervisory system, in order to implement remote management of compressor plant. All models are expected, furthermore, to communicate through the ModBUS-RTU standard protocol, which is provided with a complete documentation.
Temperature values can be displayed in °C or °F, with and without the decimal point, respectively. A special rotation algorithm allows to activate compressors based on their operation hours, thus optimizing startings and ensuring a longer lifetime. For a best maintenance, it is also possible to store in permanent memory the number of hours of operation of each compressor; the maximum reading resolution is in minutes.
